THE CLIENT'S BRIEF: The new owners of this house were an architect and her husband. They needed to open up the back of the house to create a spacious two storey extension at the back. Internal alterations included a new staircase in the Corbusier style, a double-height living area, and a sculpture wall.
SOLUTION: We worked with the Client, the Architects and the Contractor to devise a safe and effective method of propping the back of the house while the new beams and columns were inserted.
